Job Description
- Design and install HDP clusters including Security per requirement, including Knox, Ranger, Kerberos, LDAP, Active Directory
- Implement data ingestion, management, organization, and egress
- Conduct code reviews and performance optimization
- Installation, configuration and development on Hortonworks Data Flow (HDF) environments
- Provide troubleshooting support of HDP related issues
- Cluster Benchmarking and Performance Tuning
- Capacity Planning, Back up / Restore strategy and Disaster Recovery
- Contribute to detailed project plans and lead technical project scoping and planning
- Conduct knowledge transfer session on Hadoop technologies.
Must Have:
- At least 8+ years overall experience with 3+ years' hands on experience for administration of the Hortonworks platform including installs, upgrades and configuration
- Strong scripting skills in Linux environment
- Hands on experience in Oozie, HCatalog, Hive
- Knowledge of HBase for efficient Hadoop administration
- Experience with Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) 2.5
- Preferable to have 2+ years of telecom experience
