Job Summary:
The Business Intelligence Developer will be working closely with business users and the IT team to deliver the right data at the right time to the right person to make better business decisions. The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for the development, deployment and ongoing support of business intelligence solutions to meet the needs of Aequitas employees, clients and investors.
Essential Functions:
- Create standard and custom reports. Deploy and manage reporting infrastructure.
- Manage requirements gathering to ensure that the reporting work is well defined
- Ability to work on multiple projects and perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the company
Education:
- Computer Science Graduate or equivalent. Relevant experience is required
Experience:
- 5+ years' experience designing and developing solutions with Microsoft B.I. technology including SQL Server 2008 or later.
- Development of data analytics solutions, data visualization solutions including KPI and dashboards
- Administration of SQL Server Analysis Services databases (cubes) and SQL Server Reporting Services servers
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Advanced proficiency developing complex, high performance reports and business intelligence solutions with SSRS
- Advanced proficiency developing and maintaining high performance business intelligence solutions with SSAS in a Data Warehousing/BI environment
- Intermediate proficiency developing KPIs and dashboards using Performance Point and other Microsoft tools
- Configuration and administration of SSRS, SSAS servers and SharePoint
- Delivery of business intelligence solutions through SharePoint with an integrated SSRS server.
- Advanced proficiency with MDX and SQL/T-SQL
- Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts and data visualization methods and concepts
- Software development in a structured team environment requiring source code control and release management processes
- SSIS or other ETL experience a plus
- Development of BI solutions deployed through the web a plus
- Data visualization and/or dashboard visual design a plus
